New Years News from Derrick and Lindsey Kellis

Notables
in 2015

Derrick was head track coach in the Spring.
He continues teaching 7th and 9th graders History.
He has started building his own smoker and continues in his passion for BBQ. His life changed forever once he visited Franklin BBQ this summer in Austin.
He and Roger
(Australian/Collie) have started into running most mornings, even in the cold.
Derrick loves being a father most of all.

Lindsey stays at home with Teddy but began tutoring math at a local center in April after Derrick comes home from work. Lindsey loves the break and Derrick loves his time alone with Teddy and Roger dog. Mathnasium seems to like Lindsey and her leadership skills because they made her an assistant manager from the beginning and let her make the schedule (so the job is as flexible as she wants). Lindsey plans to try to continue the job when Derrick goes to grad school.
Lindsey continues all her hobbies of sewing, knitting, crocheting, playing the organ, and cooking.
She
is currently into making baby girl blankets and bibs and burp rags
and skirts and just whatever!
Pregnancy is super easy and wonderful for Lindsey so far.
She has been serving in the stake primary at church as the secretary this year and has learned so much from the handbook and working with the primaries.

Teddy is 18 months old. We love watching him learn new skills and being so smart. He doesn't say much still though.
He LOVES Thomas the train and Daniel Tiger. He could play with trains and cars all day.
He also loves lids.
He has started going to nursery and we hope to transition to him attending alone in the next month or two.
Teddy isn't too interested in the rabbits or dog, unless they are running.
Teddy loves playing outside and at the park.
Teddy broke his leg in October but is already walking around like a champ! Mom is so grateful that he can walk again and is mobile. That month with Ted in a cast was rough!!! Mom got really strong carrying Teddy in his heavy cast.

Baby girl is due mid March.

Derrick and Lindsey love the Utah weather and try to take advantage of the outdoors as much as possible. They didn't hike or camp very much this year as allergies and cold nights always reminded them why camping can be rough. Both grandparents visited this year and we love that they can spend time with us and Teddy. Teddy is a stinker with new people but we hope he is warming up to them with their continued visits. We are so grateful for Derrick's brother who lives in Utah with us and that we can visit so often. Life is consumed with our toddler and we couldn't love it any more!

We hope you have a wonderful 2016!
