Ted turned 3!

We haven't been in Iowa long, but it is Ted's birthday! So I wanted to make it special. So I started by decorating the living room.
He kept asking to go to Khloe's house (his paternal cousin). I know it is because he likes her lego trains. So that's what Ted got for his birthday. Both grandparents were even on board. He scored big time!

It was fun to follow the directions and put them together.
We had chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast.
He LOVES when a new package arrives!

We had chocolate chip cookie cake.

Ted is a tall kid. He talks pretty well and loves to jabber on. He loves to sing. He always asks to sing ABC's but can sing several nursery rhymes (daddy finger, row your boat, itsy spider, twinkle star, etc.), plus a few Daniel Tiger songs, and primary songs (temple, sunbeam, etc.). Ted's recent love is Little Einsteins and loves to watch and sing and play along.
Ted learns his manners pretty well and social skills as we do a lot of practice and modeling when we go to the park. He is pretty apprehensive on slides but after we do something together, he will try it on his own with some confidence.
He doesn't nap and loves rest time with his ipad watching trains on youtube or playing train games. He still loves trains and not much else.
Another cute new thing is he will take care of the baby doll.
He plays pretty well with Claire and loves to be around and on her. He of course knows how to make her squeal. Sounds familiar to how I grew up with my big brother.
He eats mostly sausage in his diet but has branched out to eating most breakfast foods and regular kid food (hot dogs, chicken nuggets, mac n cheese). Some days he will drink green smoothies!
Lately he loves to read books with us and we are working on his annunciation. He can't say l and we are fixing some of his words like him using t instead of k or g.
He is almost potty trained! We wear underwear a lot. Of course, it is Thomas the Train style. :)
He also loves to wander slowly whether it is on a trail or around the apartment complex, etc. He doesn't like to go places seemingly, but of course never wants to leave once we are there.
That's my boy in a nutshell!
