I'm long-winded. I'm warning you. But I hope you have some fun reading what's going on with us. I sure have fun writing these and catching up with y'all also.

New Pets!

We started teaching this week.  nothing really to report on that yet.  Derrick has a good story about his first week of school and a thought-provoking lesson that got a bit out of hand, but you'll have to ask him about that.

I am enjoying my new position.  I already feel like a better teacher than last year.  I already have caught the eye of the principal, department head, and a BYU professor as doing a good job and being very organized.  Tennis season is already started.  I should have my team solidified by Wednesday!

But that is not really what was exciting for us this week.

Ada joined us Wednesday as a playmate for Roger while we are gone all day.  They are doing marvelously.  Ada is more hyper and more scared.  She loves water.  She is part lab, part border collie.  She acts like a lab.  Derrick and I very much enjoyed winding down from teaching everyday this week by going to the park with the dogs.

Spot left us yesterday because he is a boy.  I think Caramel (the former Thor) is pregnant.  I guess we'll see in like 20 days. This is Gabby who joined us later that day.  She is a Holland lop.  She is 6 weeks old.  She and Cara don't get along yet, another reason I think Cara is prego.  So she lives inside and is very cuddly.  She stayed on my lap for a whole hour last night and probably would have stayed there longer!

And Der and I graduated a few weeks ago, so here is the proof:
