Do you remember how I spent so much work dog-proofing the backyard? So my neighbor says, "why don't you just move the fence back so it doesn't include the stairs?" Oh ya. That would be smart. So that made everything easier. Before, I liked that we could just open up our door and Roger could come and go as he pleased because it only opened up to the backyard. But things are okay this way too. Roger doesn't follow us to church and Visiting Teaching appointments anymore.
Der and I were gone four days to Arizona. His grandmother and her siblings own a ranch with each sibling having their own house on the property. So Der's Grandma scheduled the whole place for her 60th Wedding Anniversary. I love being around family and playing games and just taking it easy. No TV, no internet. Well, okay, we can watch movies and we did. We took a lot of naps. That's because a bug went around seizing everyone's intestines. Ugh. Now we are back, but I have a cold and it stinks. Who gets a cold in the summer? It literally does not make sense.
It was fun to come home to the pets who got bigger in those four days. The drive wasn't so bad either, even when we decided to leave at midnight on a spur of the moment decision. I think I caught up on sleep though eventually.
Anyways, I have lots of school things this next week and a half and then it's on to TEXAS! Actually, I don't know why I'm excited. Who wants to go to Texas in July? But I do miss my family dearly.
